Lindsay Lohan Seeks Diverse Roles Beyond Romantic Comedies

Los Angeles, May 14: Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is making headlines once again. Known globally for her role in the film “The Parent Trap,” Lindsay is now looking to take her career in a new direction. After a long stint in romantic comedies, she is eager to explore serious and different roles. Recently, she opened up about her upcoming drama series “Count My Lies,” explaining why this project is particularly special to her.

Lindsay stated, “This is my first major scripted series where I am playing the lead role. Previously, I had done some minor roles, but this experience is completely different. The character in this series is quite distinct from all my previous works, and that excites me the most.”

She added, “I am often seen only as a romantic-comedy actress. While audiences have liked me in such roles, I want to prove myself further as an artist. It is essential to take on new characters to grow creatively, which is why I am now looking for different stories and roles.”

In this new series, Lindsay will be joined by Kit Harington, who gained worldwide fame from the popular series “Game of Thrones.” The two will portray a married couple in the show.

Kit Harington also shared his thoughts on the series, saying, “It’s a fun thriller filled with twists. The shooting has been completed, and this is the first time I am discussing it with the media, so I’m not quite sure how to present it to the audience.”

During the conversation, Lindsay reflected on her early days, stating, “The sudden fame at a young age was not easy for me. My life changed completely after becoming famous from ‘The Parent Trap.’ At that time, I should have listened to my parents and returned to New York, but I wanted to stay in Los Angeles.”

She remarked, “Looking back, I realize that as a teenager, one doesn’t fully understand how to make decisions. The world of popularity and glamour may seem beautiful from the outside, but it is equally challenging from within.”

Lindsay also mentioned a time when she felt bored with the film industry, saying, “I wasn’t getting roles that I genuinely wanted to do. The constant attention and scrutiny on my personal life started to bother me. That’s why I decided to move to Dubai in 2014.”
