Jaipur, February 27, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a Land Records Inspector posted in Jaipur West for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹3,80,000.

Acting on the directions of the ACB Headquarters, the ACB Jaipur City-II unit conducted the operation and caught Anil Kumar, currently posted as Land Records Inspector, Circle Jaipur-West, red-handed while taking the bribe amount.
Director General of Police, ACB, Govind Gupta, said the bureau had received a complaint alleging that the accused demanded ₹5 lakh from the complainant for carrying out work related to ancestral land records. It was alleged that pressure was being exerted on the complainant to pay the bribe.
Under the supervision of DIG Police-II Anand Sharma, the ACB Jaipur City-II team verified the complaint. During verification, the accused allegedly accepted ₹20,000 from the complainant and agreed to take ₹4 lakh more — ₹1 lakh for himself and ₹3 lakh on behalf of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jaipur-I.
On February 27, 2026, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Bhupendra and Inspector Chhotilal along with the team, a trap was laid and the accused was caught while accepting ₹3,80,000 from the complainant.
The action was carried out under the supervision of ACB Additional Director General Smita Srivastava and under the direction of ACB Inspector General S. Parimala. Further questioning and legal proceedings are underway.
The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and initiated further investigation.
