Udaipur Police Cracks Major Robbery Case in Rishabhdev; ₹7 Lakh Cash and Gold-Silver Jewelry Looted
Udaipur, Rajasthan – A major breakthrough has been made in the knife-point robbery case that took place in a residential house in Rishabhdev on June 27, 2025. Acting swiftly on the complaint, Udaipur police have arrested two accused and recovered significant leads through sustained investigation over seven days.

The Incident
The complaint was filed by Kantilal Bhagora (37), a resident of Ghati Darwaza, Rishabhdev, District Udaipur. According to the FIR, around 7:30 AM on June 27, Kantilal was at home, unwell and resting, when an unidentified man entered his house. The intruder, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans, and a black cloth covering his face, was armed with a knife. He stormed into the third-floor room, held the knife to Kantilal’s neck, and forcibly opened the bed storage, stealing ₹7 lakh in cash and a large amount of gold and silver jewelry, including:

2 gold necklaces (30g each)

2 silver ‘kandora’ waistbands (900g each)

2 pairs of silver anklets

4 silver toe rings

1 gold ring

2 gold earrings

2 ‘kanful’ gold ornaments

As the thief tried to flee, Kantilal’s nephew, Lalit (son of Shankar Meena), entered the house. The accused threatened Lalit with a knife and locked him inside a nearby room before escaping. Kantilal then alerted neighbors who rushed in to help, and a formal police complaint was lodged.
Investigation and Arrest
Considering the gravity of the incident, Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal immediately directed the formation of a special investigation team under the supervision of Additional SP Anjana Sukhwal and Circle Officer Rajeev Rahar. The team was led by Rishabhdev SHO Bharat Singh Rajpurohit.
Over the course of a week, the team analyzed CCTV footage from multiple locations, gathered intelligence inputs, and used technical surveillance to track the suspects. Eventually, Ajay Kumar Parmar and Satish Meena were detained and arrested after thorough interrogation.

Notably, Ajay Parmar is a repeat offender with a criminal background. He had been absconding for over a year and is named in three robbery cases registered at Parsola and Devgarh police stations in Pratapgarh district.
