The iPhone 16 series was unveiled at Apple It’s Glowtime event on Monday, September 9. The latest product line, which includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, has new features in both hardware and software. As always, the Cupertino company did not provide details about the RAM of the iPhones. However, a new report suggests that all models in the iPhone 16 series will have more RAM than last year’s iPhone 15 models.
All iPhone 16 models have 8 GB of RAM
Apple generally does not disclose the RAM configuration of iPhones. However, MacRumors and @iSWUpdates claim that all iPhone 16 series models will have 8GB of RAM. This information is said to be in the latest version of Apple’s Xcode developer tools. This means that the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have 2 GB more RAM than the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Previous Xcode files showed 6GB of RAM on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Along with the A18 chip, the additional RAM improves system performance in the new iPhone 16 models. However, like their predecessors, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max only have 8 GB of RAM.
The iPhone 16 series comes with iOS 18 operating system and a new camera control button. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are equipped with the A18 Pro chip.
The starting price of Apple iPhone 16 in India is Rs 79,900 for the 128GB storage variant. The larger model iPhone 16 Plus is priced at Rs 89,900, while the iPhone 16 Pro is priced at Rs 1,19,900 for the base 128GB version. Finally, the flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at Rs 1,44,900 for the 256GB model.
