After dust storms and rains lashed many parts of northern India on Monday, Himachal Pradesh had another spell of rainfall with gsuty winds. The plains of Haryana, Chandigrah and Punjab also witnessed showers on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a possibility of storms coming in large parts of north India, including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, and Jammu and Kashmir for Wednesday.
The Meteorological Department has predicted winds of 50 to 70 kmph per hour in these areas as well as West Bengal and Sikkim.
According to the department, heavy rains may occur in Himachal and Uttarakhand during this period.
In view of the threats and warnings, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand has said that the state administration has taken all necesary preparations as a precaution.
According to the weather department, the prevailing weather conditions in Haryana and adjoining areas of Punjab and Madhya Pradesh is due to the low intensity of cyclonic winds.
The storm surge could hit some areas of Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, South Interior Karnataka, north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamilnadu and Kerala in coming days.
Apart from this, there may be heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, in Southern Karnataka and some parts of Kerala.
