New Delhi, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): India’s leading airline IndiGo has announced the launch of direct daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow, starting from October 26. The introductory fare begins at ₹22,999. This will be IndiGo’s second destination in the United Kingdom after Manchester.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the airline said the new service will be operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. The aircraft will feature a two-class configuration – Economy and IndiGoStretch.
Passengers will be offered complimentary hot meals and beverages, while alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase in the Economy class and complimentary for IndiGoStretch customers. Each seat will feature a seat-back entertainment screen with access to over 300 hours of content. Bookings are open on IndiGo’s website, mobile app, and through authorized travel partners.
Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IndiGo, said entering Heathrow, one of the world’s most important hubs, is a significant milestone and a strategic step towards strengthening IndiGo’s global presence.
He added, “The India–United Kingdom corridor has long been a crucial route — not only due to strong bilateral ties but also because of increasing travel by students, families, business, and leisure passengers. Following the excellent response to our first long-haul route to Manchester, we are excited to expand to London, offering customers more travel options and reinforcing our commitment to seamless connectivity between India and the world.”
