Jaipur, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): A major derailment occurred on Tuesday morning between Gajner and Kolayat stations under the Bikaner division, where 37 wagons of a freight train bound for Jaisalmer from Bikaner went off the tracks. The incident took place around 7 a.m. near Indo Ka Bala village. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

According to officials, the train was moving at speed when it derailed, causing several wagons to scatter at a distance from the track.
Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer, North Western Railway, confirmed that the railway administration promptly reached the site, and efforts were made to clear the derailed wagons and restore train movement on the route.
Due to the derailment, train number 14704 (Lalgarh–Jaisalmer) and train number 14703 (Jaisalmer–Lalgarh) services have been cancelled for Tuesday.
Additionally, train number 12468 (Jaipur–Jaisalmer), scheduled to depart on October 7, will operate only up to Bikaner, remaining partially cancelled between Bikaner and Jaisalmer. Similarly, train number 12467 (Jaisalmer–Jaipur), scheduled for October 8, will originate from Bikaner instead of Jaisalmer, with the Jaisalmer–Bikaner section being partially cancelled.
