Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 in the Indian market to mark the 30th anniversary of the Splendor. The bike is priced at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom).
The price of this bike is Rs 3,000 more than the previous model and it is available in three colors: Matte Grey, Gloss Black and Gloss Red. The new Splendor Plus continues to compete with Honda Shine 100, Bajaj CT 100 and TVS Radeon.
It retains the classic design with a square headlight but now comes with an LED unit with H-shaped daytime running lights inside, making it the only 100cc bike with an LED headlight. The color scheme and graphics have also been updated and the indicator housing has also been redesigned.
Coming to the features, this bike has a digital instrument cluster with mileage display, side stand indicator, speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, Bluetooth connectivity with call and message alert and USB charging port. . This bike is also equipped with a hazard warning light system with its own switch.
The petrol engine produces 8.02 hp at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and uses i3s (Idle Stop Start System) technology. The fuel tank capacity is 9.8 liters and fuel consumption is 73 km/liter.
It features a telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers with 5-level preload adjustment. Braking is via 130mm drum brakes at both ends with CBS and 80-profile tubeless tires on 18-inch wheels. The minimum distance to the ground is 165 mm and the weight of the car is 122 kg.
