The Indian Army has invited applications from unmarried male engineering graduates for a permanent commission in the 144th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-144), starting in January 2027. A total of 30 positions are available.
According to the announcement by the Indian Army, the positions are distributed by stream: 8 for Civil Engineering, 6 for Computer Science, 2 for Electrical, 6 for Electronics, 6 for Mechanical, and 2 for various engineering streams. The online application process began on Wednesday, with the last date to apply set for June 11. Eligible candidates wishing to fill out the application form can register on the official website before the deadline.
Applicants must hold a BE/BTech/MS in Computer Science or any recognized engineering stream from a university or institution. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is 27 years, calculated as of January 1, 2027. Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application shortlisting, SSB, medical tests, merit lists, and other stages. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹56,400 per month during the 12-month training period, with a salary of approximately ₹17 to ₹18 lakh per annum upon commissioning, along with additional benefits and allowances.
