MBA Induction Programme Introduces Students to Management Education and Corporate World

Udaipur: An induction programme was organised to provide newly admitted MBA students with an effective start to their academic and professional journey. The programme aimed to familiarise students with the institution’s academic culture, MBA curriculum, teaching methodology and available opportunities, while preparing them for future corporate and managerial challenges.

Focus on Life Goals and Management Skills

At the beginning of the programme, Dean of the Faculty of Management Prof Dipin Mathur addressed the students and encouraged future managers to recognise the importance of life goals and time in shaping their lives.

He encouraged students to undertake self-analysis, develop new skills and prepare themselves for a professional course like an MBA so that they could achieve success in securing their desired employment.

Students were encouraged to identify their strengths and weaknesses and focus on improving their personalities. They were also introduced to management skills and informed about how an MBA differs from other traditional courses.

The MBA teaching methodology includes case studies, role plays and discussions on economic stories, which help students gain practical knowledge.

Ten-Day Programme to Cover Management Dimensions

The induction programme will continue for 10 days, with sessions planned on various aspects of management. These include team building, leadership skills, employability skills, the transition from campus to corporate life, management quizzes, corporate interaction, alumni talks, mentor-mentee programmes, management games and industry visits for the overall development of students.

A key objective of the programme is to develop confidence, creativity, innovation and leadership abilities among students. Students are also being introduced to changing industry requirements, digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven decision-making and future employment opportunities.

The programme provides students an opportunity to understand that an MBA is not merely an academic degree but a journey towards the overall development of knowledge, skills, attitude and leadership abilities.

Students were also encouraged to actively participate in various academic, research, club, cultural and co-curricular activities of the university.
