India Post 358 in First Innings, England Trail by 153 Runs with 2 Wickets Down
Manchester, July 24, 2025 — The fourth Test between India and England, part of the ongoing five-match series, is underway in Manchester. India posted 358 runs in their first innings after losing all wickets in 114.1 overs. In response, England have scored 205 runs for the loss of two wickets and trail by 153 runs.

Indian Batting Highlights
India’s first innings saw contributions from top-order batters. Sai Sudharsan scored a team-high 61 runs, followed by Yashasvi Jaiswal with 58 and Rishabh Pant with 54. Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed on Day 2 after scoring 20 off 40 balls, caught by Jofra Archer. Shardul Thakur added 41 runs from 88 balls before falling to Ben Stokes. Washington Sundar made 27 from 90 balls. Anshul Kamboj was dismissed without scoring, while Rishabh Pant returned to bat on Day 2 after retiring hurt on Day 1.
England’s bowling attack was led by Ben Stokes, who took five wickets, while Jofra Archer claimed three, including the final wicket of Jasprit Bumrah.
England’s Solid Start, But Setbacks Follow
England’s openers gave them a strong start, with a 166-run partnership between Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. Crawley was the first to fall, dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja after scoring 84 off 113 balls, which included 13 fours and one six.
Ben Duckett missed out on a century, falling for 94 off 100 balls. His innings included 13 fours. Anshul Kamboj picked up his first international wicket by removing Duckett, handing England their second setback.
