Hamirpur (HP), March 16 : With barely hours left for AAP leader Bhagwant Mann’s swearing in ceremony as the new Punjab Chief Minister on Wednesday, on Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur, has taken a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party that swept the state polls with over two-third majority. Thakur told the media here that the swearing-in ceremony planned at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh “will prove how much the AAP people are pro-people”. He alleged that huge money was being “misspent” and that “crops of farmers were being damaged for the grand ceremony”. Thakur said “promises were made in Delhi as well but when it came to fulfillment, they were not”, adding that was the reason why people of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Goa completely rejected the AAP and preferred the BJP. The on Minister also addressed a huge gathering here late Tuesday kicking off a four-day Holi festival at Sujanpur Tira. Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Deputy Commissioner Debasweta Banik were also present. CSS ING
