Jaipur : Rajasthan is experiencing early heatwave conditions, with Barmer and Jalore recording temperatures above 40°C. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heatwave conditions in Barmer and its surrounding areas today and has extended the alert to Jalore for March 12.
Meanwhile, weather relief is expected on Holi, with cloud cover and light rainfall predicted in eight districts across Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions.

On Monday (March 11), Barmer recorded the highest temperature in Rajasthan at 41°C, followed closely by Jalore at 40.1°C. This early onset of extreme heat has already begun affecting public health, with rising cases of heat-related illnesses.
