Google has announced that it will introduce three new features to the Google Pay application. The company claims that the new features will make the online payment process easier for users.
Add your card details using your fingerprint, face scan or PIN
Autofill in Chrome and Android lets you automatically complete your shipping, billing, and payment details to save time during checkout. The next time you checkout using autocomplete in Chrome or Android, you’ll have the option to autocomplete your information. You can collect all of your card details using the same methods you use to unlock your device, such as: E.g. via fingerprint, face scan or screen lock PIN, so you don’t have to enter security codes manually.

The company added: “You can also set up a device lock, which requires you to unlock your device before revealing full card details. This prevents anyone who has access to your device from using your card.”
Easily check the benefits of your card
Many credit cards offer rewards and discounts on purchases, but it can be difficult to know which cards offer the best benefits. Google Pay simplifies this process by displaying the card benefits at checkout. Starting today, American Express and Capital One cardholders using Chrome desktop will see specific card benefits in an autocomplete drop-down list to help them choose the card that maximizes their value. Google Pay plans to expand this feature to more cards in the future.
“Buy now, pay later”
Google Pay is expanding its “buy now, pay later” option to more shopping websites. Earlier this year, we began testing ways to display Buy Now Pay Later options like Affirm and Zip when you make an online payment with Google Pay, Buy Now Pay Later on merchant sites and we have The Android apps are expanding to all of the United States, the company said.
