Federal Bank Gains After Increasing Stake in AFLIC

Mumbai, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran)। Federal Bank was trading at Rs. 238.10 on the BSE, up 2.25 points or 0.95% from its previous close of Rs. 235.85. The stock opened at Rs. 236.00 and recorded an intraday high of Rs. 238.10 and a low of Rs. 233.35. A total of 1,24,797 shares have exchanged hands so far.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of Rs. 2, touched a 52-week high of Rs. 239.05 on 12 November 2025 and a 52-week low of Rs. 172.95 on 3 March 2025. Over the last week, the scrip has moved between Rs. 239.05 and Rs. 232.50. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 58,355.46 crore. Institutional investors hold 75.25% stake in the bank, while non-institutional investors hold 24.75%.

Federal Bank has acquired an additional 3,20,00,000 equity shares (4%) of Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company (AFLIC) from Ageas Insurance International NV at a price of Rs. 30.45 per share. The total transaction value stood at Rs. 97.44 crore. With this acquisition, the bank’s shareholding in AFLIC has increased to 30% on a fully diluted basis.
