The second edition of the India–UAE joint exercise focused on enhancing interoperability, mutual understanding, and operational coordination between the two armed forces. Designed around modern combat requirements, the exercise emphasised joint operations under a United Nations mandate, particularly in urban and semi-urban environments.

The training programme included a blend of classroom sessions and field exercises, covering key areas such as urban combat techniques, room intervention, building clearance, counter-IED measures, casualty evacuation, first aid, and detailed mission planning. Troops also practised heliborne operations, air assault drills, and platoon-level coordinated attacks, culminating in integrated offensive and defensive combat scenarios.

The Indian Army contingent comprised 45 personnel from a battalion of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment under the Sapta Shakti Command, while the UAE Land Forces were represented by the 53 Mechanised Infantry Battalion. Throughout the exercise, both sides exchanged tactical knowledge and operational best practices, enhancing mutual understanding and standardising procedures for future joint missions.

The successful conduct of Exercise DESERT CYCLONE–II reaffirmed the strong defence partnership between India and the UAE and underscored their shared commitment to regional security, stability, and collective peacekeeping efforts.
