Udaipur, November 8 (Udaipur Kiran): Under the directions of Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate, the Rajasthan Excise Department has intensified its statewide crackdown on the illegal manufacture, storage, transportation, and sale of liquor. The ongoing special preventive campaign has led to multiple raids, vehicle checks, and the destruction of thousands of litres of illicit liquor and brewing setups across the state.

The campaign is being carried out under the supervision of Additional Excise Commissioner (Administration) O.P. Jain and Additional Excise Commissioner (Policy) Pradeep Singh Sangawat, following a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal liquor activities and inter-state smuggling.
In a recent joint operation by Excise Station Shahpura and PO Chaksu (Jaipur), officials seized 114 litres of illicit liquor, destroyed 2,300 litres of wash, and dismantled three brewing furnaces. In Jhalawar, a motorcyclist was arrested while attempting to sell 46 bottles of country-made liquor.
Similarly, in Parbatsar, a raid led to the destruction of 200 litres of wash and seizure of 6 litres of illicit liquor. In Hanumangarh, intensive vehicle checks were conducted at the Jamnagar Expressway Nagarana Toll Plaza as part of the anti-smuggling drive.
The Excise Department confirmed that similar raids, patrols, and roadblocks are being conducted across several districts to curb the illegal liquor trade. Officials emphasized that the department will continue to take strict action under the state’s “Zero Tolerance” policy to ensure public safety and eliminate illicit liquor operations.
