Emphasis on Advanced Medical Technologies in Women’s Health: Sunita Tandulwadkar at Udaipur SHARP VP Conference

Udaipur, Rajasthan — The second day of the three-day national workshop organized by the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) concluded with insightful sessions and high participation, showcasing the latest advancements in gynecology and women’s health. The event is being hosted simultaneously across four prominent medical institutions in Udaipur — RNT Medical College, Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Pacific Medical College & Hospital, and Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences — and has brought together over 500 doctors from across the country.

This marks the first-ever FOGSI conference in India to feature 12 workshops conducted simultaneously at four different medical colleges, offering specialized training to participating doctors.

Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar, President of FOGSI, emphasized the critical role of gynecologists in enhancing women’s healthcare and advocated for the increased adoption of modern medical technologies in the treatment of female-specific health issues.

Pragya Kevat Ramani, Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur and chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, lauded FOGSI and the Udaipur Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society for their impactful work and described the initiative as a resounding success.

Dr. Komal Chauhan, Vice President of FOGSI and Organizing Chairperson, highlighted the unprecedented scale of the event, noting that more than 100 expert faculty members from across India conducted workshops, providing hands-on training to delegates.

Dr. Prakash Jain, another Organizing Chairperson, reported that over 500 delegates participated in the day’s scientific sessions, which ran from 8 AM to 5 PM, helping attendees to sharpen their skills and expand their knowledge.

Dr. Niranjan Chauhan, Organizing Secretary, expressed pride in Udaipur being chosen to host this significant conference among more than 100 gynecological societies from India’s west zone, and in successfully executing it at such a large scale.

Dr. Pradeep Bandwal, also an Organizing Secretary, extended his gratitude to the FOGSI office bearers, faculty members, delegates, academic partners, and management and gynecology departments of all four participating medical colleges — RNT Medical College, GMCH, PMCH, and AIMS — for their support in making the event a grand success.
