Bhubaneswar, 19 November (Udaipur Kiran). Odisha continued to reel under cold-wave conditions on Wednesday as several districts recorded a sharp drop in night temperatures. Daringibadi, often called the ‘Kashmir of Odisha’, remained the coldest place in the state with a minimum temperature of 8.5°C, followed by Phulbani at 9°C.

Angul recorded 10.6°C, while Bhawanipatna and Nabarangpur registered 11°C. Jharsuguda recorded 11.6°C and Koraput 12°C. Keonjhar and Sonepur reported 13°C, while Bolangir stood at 13.2°C. Sundargarh and Rayagada recorded 13.4°C, and Dhenkanal 13.6°C. Malkangiri and Paralakhemundi saw temperatures of 14°C.
Cuttack recorded a minimum of 14.4°C, Titlagarh 14.5°C, Sambalpur 14.9°C and Bargarh 15°C. Capital Bhubaneswar logged 15.2°C, while Nayagarh recorded 15.3°C. Baripada, Hirakud, Deogarh and Nuapada reported 15.4°C.
In Khurda, the minimum temperature was 16°C, while Jajpur and Kendrapada recorded 16.2°C. Gopalpur saw 16.4°C, and Chhatrapur 16.5°C. Jagatsinghpur recorded 17°C, Balasore 17.1°C, Chandbali 17.4°C and Paradip 17.6°C.
Boudh recorded 18.2°C, while Puri remained among the relatively warmer places with a minimum temperature of 18.4°C.
According to the India Meteorological Department, night temperatures across the state may rise slightly by 2–3°C over the next three days. No major change is expected thereafter.
