New Delhi, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): Dabang Delhi KC emerged as the champions of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12, defeating Puneri Paltan 31-28 in a thrilling final held at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Friday. With this victory, Delhi secured their second PKL title, joining Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panthers as the only teams to win the championship more than once.

Head coach Joginder Narwal also achieved a rare feat, becoming only the second person after Manpreet Singh to win the PKL title both as a coach and captain.
For Delhi, Neeraj Narwal (9 points) and Ajinkya Pawar (6 points) played pivotal roles in the win. Despite Ashu’s struggles, Delhi’s defense put up a solid performance, earning 10 crucial points. Fazel Atrachali, though quiet for most of the match, sealed the victory by tackling Aditya Shinde in the final minute.
The match began with Puneri Paltan showing resilience through multiple super tackles, but Delhi gradually built momentum. Neeraj Narwal’s brilliance and Ajinkya Pawar’s double strikes helped Delhi secure a crucial all-out, extending their lead to 14-8. By halftime, Delhi maintained a comfortable 20-14 advantage.
Puneri Paltan fought hard in the second half, with Aditya Shinde narrowing the gap through a running hand touch and a multi-point raid, reducing the margin to just two points. However, Delhi’s composed defense and smart raids in the closing minutes ensured they maintained a three-point lead until the end.
The victory marks Delhi’s first win over Puneri Paltan in this season after three previous encounters ended in ties.
