Kharagpur, October 28 (Udaipur Kiran): In view of the approaching Cyclone Montha, the South Eastern Railway has revised the departure timings of six trains bound for southern India as a precautionary measure. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone is expected to make landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast on Tuesday with wind speeds of up to 110 kmph.

Senior DCM of Kharagpur Division, Nishant Kumar, said the decision was taken keeping passenger safety as the top priority amid possible cyclonic conditions.
As per the official notification issued by the railway administration, the following trains have been rescheduled:

18045 Shalimar–Charlapalli East Coast Express: Earlier scheduled to depart at 11:15 am on Tuesday, will now leave at 9:15 pm.

22825 Shalimar–MGR Chennai Express: Earlier scheduled at 12:10 am on Monday, will now depart at 10:10 pm on Tuesday.

22887 Howrah–SMVT Bengaluru Express: Earlier scheduled at 12:00 am on Monday, will now depart at 10:30 pm on Tuesday.

12841 Howrah–MGR Chennai Coromandel Express: Earlier scheduled at 3:10 pm on Tuesday, will now leave at 1:10 am on Wednesday (October 29).

22807 Santragachi–MGR Chennai Express: Earlier scheduled at 5:55 pm on Tuesday, will now depart at 3:55 am on Wednesday.

22853 Shalimar–Visakhapatnam Express: Earlier scheduled at 6:15 pm on Tuesday, will now leave at 4:15 am on Wednesday.
The railway administration has urged passengers to check updated train timings before travelling and verify details through the official website or railway helpline numbers.
