Chennai, March 1: Five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have revealed a glimpse of their new jersey ahead of the upcoming IPL 2026 season. On Saturday, CSK posted on social media about a significant announcement scheduled for Sunday morning at 7:07 AM, a time deeply connected to franchise icon MS Dhoni. The franchise released an impressive video that surprised fans.
The video confirmed Dhoni’s return to the CSK camp ahead of the new season and showcased the first look of the IPL 2026 jersey. The 2026 jersey retains CSK’s identity while featuring subtle design updates.
Above the CSK crest are five stars, representing the franchise’s five Indian Premier League titles (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023).
Last season, CSK had a disappointing performance, finishing at the bottom of the table with 10 losses and 4 wins from 14 matches. Ahead of the 2026 season, CSK has made significant changes to the team. Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran are no longer part of the squad, while wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has been added to the team.
CSK has also included young talents like Prashant Veer and Karthik Sharma. Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the team. Currently, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube are part of Team India, participating in the T20 World Cup. With the league set to begin soon, CSK is in preparation mode and is expected to join the training camp at the franchise’s high-performance center in Chennai. Reports suggest that MS Dhoni may not be available for all matches this season.
