Bomb Threat at Nagaur Court Triggers Security Alert

Mumbai, March 9: The Nagaur Court in Rajasthan received a bomb threat, prompting police and security officials to evacuate the premises and initiate a thorough investigation on Monday. Utilizing technology and dog squads, every area of the court complex is being searched to minimize risks to life and property.

Authorities are currently verifying the source of the threatening email, which was reportedly sent directly to the court, leading to an alert being issued. According to police, such threats have predominantly been received via email, but the source remains unidentified. No concrete evidence has emerged regarding the origin or motive behind these threats. In response to such alerts, security measures are heightened to mitigate potential damage should a threat materialize.

A lawyer noted that the series of threats has persisted for the past month, marking the second instance of a bomb threat against the Nagaur Court. This situation has disrupted court proceedings, causing delays in bail and other matters. The police force is closely monitoring all activities within the court complex to ensure safety.

The primary challenge lies in identifying the source of these threats. Government and relevant agencies are urged to trace the email’s origin swiftly. Similar threats have also been reported in Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Bikaner recently, significantly impacting the court and administrative operations.

Both police and court staff are diligently working to maintain security and prevent administrative disruptions. However, the ongoing threats continue to raise concerns until the source is identified. Lawyers and court personnel emphasize the need for collaboration between the administration and agencies to pinpoint this source and prevent future threats.
