Hamilton, October 27 (Udaipur Kiran): New Zealand pacer Blair Tickner has been called up to the national squad for the ongoing three-match ODI series against England, replacing Kyle Jamieson, who has been ruled out due to tightness on his left side.

The 32-year-old Tickner has represented New Zealand in 13 ODIs, taking 16 wickets, and will be making his first international appearance since 2023.
Head coach Rob Walter confirmed the change, saying Tickner’s experience and bowling style make him an ideal replacement for Jamieson.
“Blair is an experienced player who understands international cricket well. He bowls with good pace and bounce from height and brings aggression to the attack. He can step into Kyle’s role effectively,” Walter said.
Earlier on Sunday, New Zealand defeated England by four wickets in the opening ODI at Bay Oval, despite a fine innings from England’s Harry Brook, who couldn’t take his side across the line.
Both teams have now reached Seddon Park, Hamilton, where the second ODI will be played on Wednesday (October 29).
