Mumbai, August 9: BJP MLC Prasad Lad spoke on various issues on Friday, highlighting the dedication of Manoj Jarange Patil as a committed and activist leader. In an interview with a news agency, Lad noted that Jarange often raises demands that do not serve his personal interests but focus entirely on social welfare issues. He expressed that there might be some misunderstandings regarding certain topics at present, and strengthening relationships with Jarange could help clear these doubts.
Lad also addressed the discontent of OBC leader Lakshman Hake, stating that Hake had no reason to be upset. He mentioned that several leaders from the OBC community, which Hake leads, are in contact with him. Lad emphasized that they have never claimed to allocate any part of the OBC community’s share to leaders from the Maratha community, nor do they believe in such a scenario. Their priority has always been to avoid conflicts and focus on development.
Furthermore, Lad made significant claims regarding the CJP movement in Delhi, asserting that no NEET students participated in it. He criticized Rahul Gandhi for not addressing student issues in Jharkhand, where his party is in power, suggesting that he should focus on local concerns instead.
In response to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statements, Lad acknowledged Kharge as a prominent leader and referred to Mahatma Gandhi’s recognition of the RSS’s role in the freedom movement. He urged Kharge to read the history of the RSS for a better understanding.
Lad also targeted Rahul Gandhi, claiming he spends more time abroad than in India and lacks knowledge about fuel usage in other countries compared to India. He offered to take Gandhi abroad to educate him on ethanol usage.
Lastly, Lad commented on the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sharad Pawar, noting that Pawar, a senior leader with over 60 years in public life, has the right to meet the Prime Minister. He also mentioned that they would be discussing objections related to the FCRA with the Prime Minister soon.
