Dhaka: Bangladesh has announced its 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. Wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das will lead the team as captain.
The batting lineup will revolve around Liton Das. The order will be strengthened by Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain Emon. Experienced bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed will lead the bowling attack. Mehedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, and Rishad Hossain will also bolster the bowling unit.
Bangladesh has been placed in Group C alongside England, West Indies, Nepal, and Italy.
The tournament features 20 teams divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage, beginning on February 21.
The T20 World Cup 2026 will be held from February 7 to March 8, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. This will be the tenth edition of the World Cup. Bangladesh has participated in all previous T20 World Cups but has yet to reach the semifinals or beyond.
