Ashok Leyland reports 17% growth in October sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a jump of 17% in October 2018 sales to 15,149 units, as against 12,944 units sold in the same month of last year. The company reported a rise of 7% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 9,797 units in October 2018, as compared to 9,140 units sold in October 2017.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 5,352 units in October 2018, a jump of 41% as compared to 3,804 units sold in October 2017.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
