The incident comes two days after the BJP claimed that its worker Trilochon Mahato who was found hanging from a tree at Balarampur in the district on May 30. However, the Trinamool Congress has denied the allegations. The West Bengal government ordered a criminal investigation department probe into Mahato’s death.
Accusing the involvement of TMC workers in the incidence, Union Minister and Asansol MP Babul Supriyo demanded immediate imposition of president’s rule in West Bengal.
