Al Ain Zoo celebrates Emirati Women’s Day with a creative workshop and distribution of special gifts

Al Ain : On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, Al Ain Zoo has organized a three-day workshop entitled, “Blooms Wrapped With Elegance” at the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre, and a distribution of roses and gifts for its women colleagues.

The workshop’s objective was to spread joy while encouraging artistic creativity by teaching participants some floral arrangement techniques and bouquets designs, including how to care for flowers and how to keep them alive and blooming for as long as possible.

The Zoo also distributed special gifts to women staff members across all departments with the aim of bringing them joy and expressing gratitude to Emirati women on the special day, paying tribute to the great efforts they have exerted for the progress, development, and sustainability of the future of the UAE in all sectors.

This year’s UAE Women’s Day was under the slogan of: “We Collaborate for Tomorrow”, in line with the nation’s theme for the Year of Sustainability in 2023 (“Today for Tomorrow”), with the aim of shedding light on the efforts of the country to seek innovative solutions in the fields of energy, climate action and environmental sustainability.

Al Ain Zoo is one of the leading institutions that engage Emirati women in the areas of sustainability, wildlife protection, and nature conservation since its establishment 55 years ago. It provides inclusive opportunities in the fields of conservation, veterinary medicine, animal training and caregiving, tourism and cultural guidance, horticulture, and other special fields. The Zoo has also supported significantly women’s leadership roles that are vital in carrying out the Zoo’s objectives in nature conservation and wildlife preservation.
