Jaipur, November 28 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Bharatpur unit, on Friday arrested Kailash Chand Meena, Secretary of the Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti, Dholpur, red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹45,000 in his office.

ACB Rajasthan Director General Govind Gupta said that a complaint was received stating that the complainant’s mother had applied for an agricultural produce trading licence in the name of Shri Banke Bihari Industries, Dholpur. It was alleged that the accused demanded a bribe of ₹50,000 for issuing the licence.
Following verification, a trap was laid under the supervision of DIG ACB Bharatpur Range Rajesh Singh. The action was led by Inspector Jagdish Bhardwaj, In-charge Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Bharatpur. During the operation, the accused was caught accepting ₹45,000 as bribe at the Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti office in Dholpur.
Under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police ACB Smita Shrivastava, further interrogation and legal proceedings are underway. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act will be registered and further investigation will be conducted.
