Mumbai, July 17 (Udaipur Kiran) – Customs officials at Mumbai Airport have seized 13.24 kg of gold, along with electronic devices worth ₹1.38 crore and foreign currency amounting to ₹45 lakh. Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with this case. The seized gold is valued at approximately ₹9 crore in the international market.
Details of the Seizure: According to customs sources, the department regularly conducts operations at Mumbai Airport. On Tuesday, the customs team acted on 24 cases, seizing about ₹9 crore worth of gold brought in illegally. In addition to the gold, they confiscated unauthorized electronic devices worth ₹1.38 crore and foreign currency amounting to ₹45 lakh.
The customs officials have arrested seven individuals involved in this smuggling operation. The arrested suspects are currently being interrogated for further investigation.
