Tragic Death of Four-Year-Old Girl in Telangana Car Incident

Bhadradri Kothagudem, September 20 (Udaipur Kiran) : In a heartbreaking incident, a four-year-old girl lost her life after becoming trapped inside a parked car in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana. The tragedy occurred on Sunday in the village of Vinoba Nagar, located in the Jullurupadu mandal.

Authorities reported that the girl, identified as Tanvishree, the daughter of the village sarpanch Gangawat Naveen, had opened the door of the stationary vehicle while playing near her home. Unbeknownst to anyone, the car door subsequently locked while she was inside.

When Tanvishree did not return home for an extended period, her family began searching the neighborhood. After two hours of searching, a passerby peered into the car and discovered her lying between the front seats. They broke the window to rescue her, but she was rushed to the government hospital in Kothagudem, where doctors sadly declared her dead.

Police suspect that the girl suffocated due to a lack of air inside the locked vehicle. The incident has left the local community in shock. Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.

In light of this tragedy, police have urged parents to be vigilant and ensure that children do not have access to parked vehicles. They also advised the public to check cars thoroughly before locking them, especially when children are nearby.

This incident echoes a similar tragedy in April 2026 in Nalgonda district, where a five-year-old girl died after being locked inside a parked car. In another case last year in Ranga Reddy district, two children suffocated in a locked vehicle while playing outside.
