Jaipur, February 2 – The weather in Rajasthan is witnessing another shift, with cloud cover and cool winds recorded across several cities. The maximum temperature has dropped, bringing a slight winter chill during the day. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a new western disturbance is becoming active, which could lead to light rainfall with thunder in some parts of the state on February 3 and 4.

On Sunday, 14 cities recorded nighttime temperatures below 10°C, with Mount Abu and Lunkaransar dipping below 5°C. Meanwhile, a tragic incident occurred in Bharatpur’s Bhusawar, where a woman lost her life due to burns from an open fire used for warmth.

Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Center, stated that two consecutive western disturbances are impacting Rajasthan’s weather. As a result, cloud cover and moderate winds were observed in multiple cities on Sunday, causing a further drop in temperature.

In Jaipur, scattered clouds were visible throughout the day, accompanied by mild to moderate winds. This resulted in a 1°C drop in daytime temperatures, while nighttime temperatures increased by 1.9°C. Jaipur recorded:
