Udaipur, January 2 (Udaipur Kiran): The Rajasthan government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, has launched the Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Protsahan Yojana to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth across the state. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance in the form of subsidised loans, margin money support, and interest subsidy to encourage young entrepreneurs to establish or expand their enterprises.

Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can avail loans of up to ₹2 crore for setting up or expanding manufacturing and service-based enterprises. The government will provide margin money assistance up to ₹5 lakh, along with interest subsidy, making it easier for youth to access institutional finance and become self-reliant.
Eligibility Criteria
According to the District Industries and Commerce Centre, applicants must be permanent residents of Rajasthan and aged between 18 and 45 years. The applicant should not be employed in any government or semi-government service. Units that have already availed capital or interest subsidy under any Central or State Government scheme in the past five years will not be eligible under this scheme.
For institutional applicants, valid registration documents are mandatory. The maximum permissible loan amount under the scheme is ₹2 crore.
Financial Assistance Structure
Under the scheme:

Margin money assistance up to 25% or ₹5 lakh, whichever is lower, will be provided.

Interest subsidy of 8% will be available on loans up to ₹1 crore.

For loans between ₹1 crore and ₹2 crore, an interest subsidy of 7% will be applicable.
The scheme supports new enterprises as well as expansion, diversification, and modernization of existing units.
Application Process
Applications under the Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Protsahan Yojana can be submitted online through the official portal using the SSO ID. The application process commenced on October 6. Interested applicants may also contact the District Industries and Commerce Centre for guidance and assistance.
