New Delhi, August 11: The US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, met with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Monday. Additionally, Gor held discussions with Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora regarding the India-US partnership.
Ambassador Gor shared a photo of his meeting with Milind Deora on the social media platform X, stating, “Great to exchange thoughts with MP Milind Deora on the India-US partnership. I appreciated our fruitful conversation about opportunities to enhance trade and investment between our countries.”
He also posted a picture with Foreign Secretary Misri, expressing that it is always good to meet him.
Earlier, Gor met with Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos on Thursday, congratulating him on the tenth anniversary of Netflix in India.
In his post on X, Gor wrote, “It was a pleasure to meet Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos in New Delhi. It’s great to see American technology and entertainment setting a high standard for creative excellence worldwide on the occasion of Netflix’s ten years in India. Congratulations to Netflix on this significant achievement. What’s your favorite Netflix series or show?”
The day before, Prime Minister Modi also met with Ted Sarandos, congratulating him and stating that India’s media and entertainment sector is filled with immense potential. He emphasized that the country’s rich storytelling tradition and creative talent could make India a major hub for global content creation.
Sarandos noted that India has always been one of the great storytelling nations. Over the past decade, Indian stories have resonated deeply not just within the country but also with audiences worldwide. He mentioned that Netflix’s largest investment will be in those who will bring the next generation of Indian stories to the world.
