Udaipur, February 13 (Udaipur Kiran): The State Government has made it mandatory for persons with disabilities receiving pension under the Social Security Pension Scheme to obtain a digital disability certificate, commonly known as the UDID card.
Girish Bhatnagar, Joint Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Udaipur, said that beneficiaries availing pension and other welfare schemes on the basis of disability must ensure that their UDID card details are updated in Jan Aadhaar.
He stated that those who already have a UDID card should get it updated in their Jan Aadhaar. Those who have not yet obtained the card must apply through an e-Mitra centre on the Swavlamban portal. After applying, they are required to complete medical examination at the designated Room No. 89 at Maharana Bhupal Hospital, Udaipur.
Following verification and certification, the issued UDID card must be updated in Jan Aadhaar to ensure uninterrupted continuation of pension benefits.
