Udaipur, March 16: Arvind Singh ji Mewar, a distinguished member of Udaipur’s royal family and the uncle of Maharana Vishvaraj Singh ji Mewar, has passed away at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness. He was residing at Shambhu Niwas in City Palace, where he was also receiving medical treatment.

A Legacy of Mewar Dynasty
Arvind Singh Mewar was the son of Bhagwat Singh Mewar and the younger brother of Maharana Mahendra Singh Mewar, who passed away on November 10, 2024. The Mewar dynasty, known for its rich heritage and deep-rooted history in Rajasthan, has lost another key figure in its lineage.
Last Rites and Funeral Procession
The mortal remains of Arvind Singh Mewar will be placed for public viewing at City Palace on Monday at 7 AM for the final respects. His funeral procession will commence at 11 AM from Shambhu Niwas Palace and pass through:
- Badi Pol
- Jagdish Chowk
- Ghantaghar
- Bada Bazaar
- Delhi Gate
- Mahasatiya, where the final rites will be performed.
His demise marks the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy of Rajasthan’s royal traditions and culture.
