Udaipur, March 26, 2025 – A tragic road accident occurred on the Udaipur-Salumber Highway near Paluna on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to three others, including a critically injured woman. The collision between a private bus and a car caused widespread panic at the scene.
High-Speed Collision Claims Lives
According to eyewitnesses, the head-on collision was caused by high speed. The car, carrying six passengers, was traveling from Udaipur to Salumber, while the private bus was en route to Udaipur from Sarada, carrying around 22 passengers. The impact of the crash was so intense that the car was completely mangled, trapping the occupants inside.
Local residents and police swiftly launched a rescue operation, helping extricate the injured and sending them to MB Hospital, Udaipur, for emergency treatment.
Two Dead on the Spot, One in Critical Condition
Two car occupants were declared dead on the spot, while three others, including a woman, sustained injuries. The woman’s condition is reported to be critical. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed but are believed to be residents of the Savina area of Udaipur.
