Jaipur, October 27 (Udaipur Kiran): The Baran district police took strict disciplinary action on Monday after two police personnel were found absent from duty during the ongoing 2025 Assembly by-election (Anta-193 constituency).

Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Andasu suspended Constable Mukesh Kumar Gurjar and Constable Chandrabhan Sahariya, both posted at the Baran Police Lines, for dereliction of duty during election deployment.
According to SP Andasu, both policemen were assigned to the Static Surveillance Team (SST) for bypoll duty but failed to report, displaying serious negligence in performing their election responsibilities.
During the suspension period, their headquarters have been fixed at Police Lines, Baran.
The SP emphasized that election duty is a matter of utmost importance, and any lapse or absence from assigned tasks will result in strict disciplinary action.
