Driver Electrocuted in Seconds While Adjusting Tarpaulin

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred around 3 PM at Modi Chemical Factory, located in the RIICO industrial area of Dabok. Ramlal Gadari had parked his truck at the factory gate to deliver goods. After unloading, he climbed onto the truck to adjust the tarpaulin before departure. Unfortunately, his head came into contact with an overhead 11,000 kV live wire that ran dangerously close above the truck.

In a matter of just two seconds, the electric shock claimed his life, with a visible spark caught on camera. Gadari collapsed on the truck itself and was pronounced dead on the spot.

Public Protest and Administrative Response

Tensions escalated on Monday morning when Ramlal Gadari’s family and members of the local community gathered in large numbers outside the factory to stage a protest and demand accountability for the fatal incident. Protesters questioned the lack of safety measures and the presence of high-voltage lines directly above the loading area.

As the situation grew tense, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramesh Sirvi along with officers from Dabok, Ghatsila, and Fatehnagar police stations reached the scene with a police team to manage the crowd and maintain law and order.
