Samsung Galaxy C55 5G comes to Geekbench with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and 8GB of RAM

Samsung Galaxy C55 5G could hit the market soon. The release date is still shrouded in mystery, but a recent Geekbench listing has provided a glimpse into the hardware details. From this listing, it appears that the upcoming Galaxy C series phones will use the Snapdragon 7 series chipset.

This device is said to come with 8GB of RAM and Android 14 operating system. The Galaxy C55 5G is expected to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55.

MySmartPrice discovered the Samsung Galaxy C55 5G with model number SM-C5560 on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. According to this listing, this phone comes with a chipset codenamed Taro. The chipset features a tri-cluster architecture with a main CPU core clocked at 2.40 GHz, three cores clocked at 2.36 GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.86 GHz are. These frequencies and processor codenames show that this phone is equipped with a 1st generation Snapdragon 7 processor.

The listing also reveals that the Galaxy C55 5G will have 6.90GB of storage. On paper, that equates to 8GB of RAM. The benchmark list also shows the phone running Android 14 operating system. This information is consistent with previous reports. It achieved 1026 points in the single-core test and 2384 points in the multi-core test.
A few weeks ago, the Galaxy C55 5G appeared on the Google Play console with the model number m55xq. The listing shows the device has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a pixel density of 450ppi. It is expected to come with triple rear cameras, starting with a 50-megapixel main sensor. It is rumored to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
