Samsung Galaxy M55 5G With Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC Launched Alongside Galaxy M15 5G: Price, Specifications

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G was launched in Brazil on Thursday (March 28). The new Galaxy M series phones run Android 14 based on One UI 6.1 and have an AMOLED display. This device was released at the same time as the Galaxy M15 5G. Under the hood, the Galaxy M15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC and the Galaxy M55 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The former has a 6000mAh internal battery while the latter has a 5000mAh battery. Both phones have a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the back. The Galaxy M15 5G appears to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy F15 5G that was launched in India earlier this month.

Price for Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, Galaxy M15 5G

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G starts at R$1,499 (approximately Rs. 25,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Available in dark blue, gray and light blue.

On the other hand, the Galaxy M55 5G costs R$3,199 (approximately Rs. 53,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. Available in dark blue and green.

The Galaxy M55 5G will soon be officially launched in other markets. Meanwhile, the Galaxy M15 5G is currently listed on Samsung’s Indian website without any pricing details.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Dual SIM (Nano) runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2408 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz There is a hole cutout in the middle of the display to accommodate the selfie camera. This phone uses a 1st generation Snapdragon 7 processor and has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M55 5G with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front. For security reasons, it is also equipped with Samsung’s Knox Vault.

The Galaxy M55 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It measures 163.9 x 76.5 x 7.8 mm and weighs 180 grams.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G runs on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Located in the center of the display a notch in the shape of a water drop appears. It is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset and is paired with 4GB of RAM as standard.

Visually, the Galaxy M15 5G has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel camera. Equipped with a 13 million pixel front selfie camera. This device comes with 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB. This also includes Knox Vault.

Samsung has installed a 6,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy M15 5G with support for 45 W fast charging. The dimensions of this phone are 160.1 x 76.8 x 8.4 mm and its weight is 217 grams. The new Galaxy M series phones have been confirmed to receive five years of security updates and up to four years of firmware upgrades .
