Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G were launched in India on Monday (March 11). The latest Galaxy A series smartphone features a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel main sensor. The Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are confirmed to be running Android 14 with four generations of Android updates and five years of security patches. Both models feature punch-hole displays and are powered by 5,000mAh batteries with 25W charging support.

The pricing details of the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G were not available on Samsung India’s website at the time of writing. The company is expected to announce the price at the Samsung Live event on March 14 at 12:00 pm IST.

The Galaxy A55 5G is available in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage options. Listed in the shades Perfect Ice Blue and Perfect Navy. The Galaxy A35 5G, on the other hand, is available in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations. It’s available in fantastic ice blue, fantastic navy blue and fantastic lilac.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, Galaxy A35 5G

The Galaxy A55 5G Dual SIM (Nano) and Galaxy A35 5G run on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. As mentioned earlier, Samsung has confirmed that the new devices will have four generations of Android OS upgrades, One UI upgrades and five years of security updates will be received. It features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display (1080 x 2408 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and a Vision Booster function. The screen has a hole for the selfie camera and the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 use an unknown octa-core chipset. The former may have an Exynos 1480 SoC while the latter may have an Exynos 1380 SoC under the hood. The Galaxy A55 is available with 8GB and 12GB RAM, while the Galaxy A35 is available with 6GB and 8GB RAM. Both are available in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

Visually, the new device is equipped with a triple rear camera unit. The Galaxy A55 has a 50-megapixel primary camera with autofocus, f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 and f/2.2 has 2. The third megapixel sensor is a 2.4 megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy A35 5G’s camera setup includes OIS, autofocus, a 50-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel Megapixel primary camera with f/2.4 aperture. The aperture consists of a macro megapixel shooter. The front camera has 13 megapixels. This device has up to 256GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

Connectivity options on the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. The sensors in this layer include accelerometer, gyroscope sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, light sensor and virtual proximity sensor. Both models are equipped with a fingerprint sensor for authentication. It also has Samsung’s Knox Vault security feature. It is IP67 waterproof and dustproof.

The battery unit is said to provide up to 83 hours of playback time on a single charge. The Galaxy A55 5G measures 161.1 x 77.4 x 8.2 mm and weighs 213 grams. The dimensions of the Galaxy A35 5G are 161.7 x 78.0 x 8.2 mm and its weight is 209 grams.
