Bhubaneswar, May 13: A great opportunity has arisen for youth aspiring to work in a government institution. The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 21 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions on a contractual basis.
The online application process has commenced, and the deadline for submission is set for May 19. Candidates interested in applying for the JRF positions can send their CVs along with all relevant documents to the official email address mentioned in the notification before or by the last date.
Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in basic sciences from a recognized institution or university, a graduation/master’s degree in a professional course, and must have qualified the CSIR-UGC NET including eligibility for lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE or any national-level scholarship. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria in the relevant field.
The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 38 years, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting, examination/interview, and other stages according to qualifications and project requirements. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹37,000 to ₹42,000, along with additional benefits and allowances.
Candidates will be informed about the examination results via email by May 25. The examination/interview will be conducted in person at NIT Rourkela by June 5, and selected candidates will receive notification by email by June 18. The joining date has been set for June 29.
