New Delhi, May 1: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has officially announced the recruitment for Havaldar Instructor positions, with a total of 122 vacancies available.
The application process commenced on May 1, and interested candidates can apply online until June 1, 2026. The examination date will be announced later. Candidates are advised to check the BPSSC’s official website for complete information before applying.
The application fee for candidates from all categories is set at ₹100. Payment can be made online via debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS, cash card, or mobile wallet.
It is mandatory for applicants to be Indian citizens. All candidates, including men, women, and third gender individuals, are eligible to apply. Candidates must have passed their intermediate or equivalent examination by August 1, 2025.
Regarding the age limit, the minimum age is set at 18 years for all categories. The maximum age for general category men is 37 years, while for general category women, it is 40 years. The maximum age for BC/EBC men and women is also 40 years, and for SC/ST men and women, it is 42 years.
Additionally, Bihar government employees will receive a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit if they have completed at least 3 years of service. Ex-servicemen will receive an additional relaxation equivalent to their service period, provided they are not older than 57 years.
The 122 Havaldar Instructor posts are categorized as follows: 48 for General, 22 for EBC, 12 for EWS, 15 for BC, 4 for BC Women, 19 for SC, and 2 for ST.
The selection process will include a written examination, physical efficiency test, and merit list. Interested candidates must fill out the online application form before June 1, 2026.
