Rajasthan Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams Reach Federation Cup Final Again

Udaipur, May 13 (Udaipur Kiran) — Rajasthan’s men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have entered the final of the Third Federation Cup Lacrosse Championship for the third consecutive year after delivering impressive performances in Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh.

Both teams displayed excellent coordination, discipline and match skills throughout the tournament, bringing pride to the state with their consistent success.

In the women’s category, the Rajasthan team maintained dominance from the league stage onwards. The team defeated Assam in the quarterfinal and then overcame a strong Maharashtra side in the semifinal to secure a place in the title clash. Rajasthan will now face Haryana in the women’s final.

In the men’s category, Rajasthan defeated Chhattisgarh in the quarterfinal and registered a one-sided victory over Maharashtra in the semifinal to reach the final for the third straight year. The team will face the winner of the second semifinal between Gujarat and Haryana.

Coach Neeraj Batra played a key role in Rajasthan’s success. Under his guidance, Rajasthan has won the Federation Cup title for the last two years and is again considered a strong contender to defend the championship.

International players Sunita Meena, Dali Gameti, Meera Dauja, Jula Kumari Gurjar, Vishakha Meghwal, Yashistha Batra, Yashoda Gameti, Roshni Bose and Janhvi Rathore played important roles in Rajasthan’s victories in the women’s category.

In the men’s section, international players Mohanlal Gameti, Khumaram Gameti, Nishant Nagda and Narayan Lal Gameti delivered strong performances and kept pressure on rival teams throughout the competition.

The achievement of both Rajasthan teams reaching the final for the third consecutive time has created excitement in the state’s sports community. Sports lovers, coaches and supporters have congratulated the teams and extended their best wishes for the finals.
