Petrol, diesel prices stable, crude oil close to $ 92 per barrel

New Delhi : Crude oil in the international market is close to $ 92 per barrel. Crude oil has fallen by a quarter in the last three months. In fact, due to the slowdown in the global economy, the price of crude oil has fallen amid fears that the oil demand will be affected. Despite this, there was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in the domestic market on Saturday as well.

According to the Indian Oil website, petrol in Delhi is priced at Rs 96.72 and diesel at Rs 89.62 per liter. Petrol price in Mayanagari Mumbai is Rs 106.31 per litre and Diesel price is Rs 94.27 per litre. At the same time, petrol is being sold at Rs 106.03 per liter and diesel at Rs 92.76 per liter in Kolkata. Similarly, petrol is available in Chennai at Rs 102.63 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.24 per liter.

In the international market, Brent crude was trading 0.51 cents higher at $ 91.36 per barrel during early trading on the last day of the week. Similarly, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is also trading 0.01 cents higher at $85.11 per barrel. Its price reached $ 139 a barrel in February, its highest level since 2008. However, it declined significantly after that.

It is noteworthy that from May 22, the central government had cut the central excise duty on petrol and diesel. After this, the price of petrol and diesel was reduced across the country. From a business point of view, making diesel is more expensive than petrol, but in the open market of India, petrol is sold more expensive, while diesel is sold cheaper. At present, the prices of both fuels are stable despite the decrease in the price of crude oil in the international market.
