Udaipur, February 24, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – The Third Pacific Women’s Cricket Cup 2026 was organised successfully at the PDCH Sports Ground by Pacific Dental College and Hospital. The inter-college tournament aimed to promote women’s sports and provide a competitive platform to female students.

Teams from five prominent dental colleges of Udaipur participated in the competition, including Pacific Dental College and Research Centre (PDCRC), Darshan Dental College and Hospital, RR Dental College and Hospital, Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute, and host team Pacific Dental College and Hospital, Debari (PDCH). Throughout the tournament, players displayed discipline, team spirit and impressive sporting skills.

Thrilling Final Match

All matches were played in an enthusiastic atmosphere, with students and faculty members cheering for their teams. The final was contested between PDCH and Darshan Dental College, Udaipur. After a closely fought match, PDCH emerged victorious to lift the trophy, while Darshan Dental College finished as runner-up.

Outstanding performers were felicitated with trophies, medals and certificates. Ms. Ajalfa Shah of Darshan Dental College and Hospital was adjudged Best Bowler. Ms. Jia Gadhiya of Pacific Dental College and Hospital won the Woman of the Series and Best Batter awards. Ms. Yashvi Khandelwal of Darshan Dental College and Hospital was declared Best Fielder.

Grand Inauguration Ceremony

The tournament commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony. Renowned sports personality Kuldeep Mathur graced the event as Chief Guest. The programme began with lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Principal Dr. Bhagwan Das Rai and members of the organising committee.

Intern Anushruti and third-year BDS student Ku. Laiba presented Saraswati Vandana, while Ku. Avani Mehta conducted the stage proceedings. Organising Chairperson Dr. Smita Rao, Organising Secretary Dr. Hemant Mathur and Sports In-charge Dr. Kamlesh Garg were also present on the dais.

Speakers encouraged students to develop leadership, discipline and teamwork through sports. The organising committee and management congratulated all participants, stating that such events boost confidence, healthy competition and physical fitness among students. The tournament was described as a significant initiative towards promoting women empowerment and sportsmanship.
