Udaipur, India – The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Faculty of Management at Pacific University successfully organized a three-day workshop on Research Methodology aimed at inspiring students towards research and equipping them with essential techniques for producing high-quality academic work.
The workshop emphasized simplifying the research process and building a scientific mindset among scholars.
Focused on Enhancing Research Skills and Scientific Thinking
During the inaugural session, Dean Prof. Dipin Mathur highlighted that a thorough understanding of the research process is crucial for conducting effective studies. He emphasized that the workshop would enable students to undertake their research projects accurately and systematically, boosting their confidence and scientific outlook.
Workshop Convenor Dr. Pushpakant Shakdwipee detailed the sessions, noting that on the first day, Prof. (Retd.) N.K. Dashora from B.N. College extensively discussed research frameworks, hypothesis formation, and various applications of statistical analysis.
Specialized Sessions on Statistical Techniques and Report Writing
On the second day, Dr. Shilpa Lodha from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Department of Accounting and Business Statistics, engaged participants with detailed discussions on parametric and non-parametric tests.
The final day focused on research report writing, where Dr. Pushpakant Shakdwipee covered key aspects such as literature review, data presentation, and the structuring of results and conclusions. Students were encouraged to participate actively through practical exercises and group discussions.

At the valedictory session, Dr. Pallavi Mehta, Director of IQAC at Pacific University, expressed gratitude to both participants and resource persons. She emphasized the growing importance of research in academic and professional fields and strongly advocated for the regular organization of such workshops in upcoming sessions.
The workshop witnessed active participation from a total of 57 students, reflecting the increasing interest in research-oriented academic pursuits.
