Pacific University Hosts Expert Extension Lecture on Stress Management for Hotel Management Students

Udaipur, April 17 – Pacific University’s College of Hotel Management organized a one-day extension lecture on “Stress Management”, aimed at equipping students with effective tools to deal with the growing challenge of stress in modern life. The session was graced by Dr. Deepak Kumar Salvi, Head of the Psychology Department, and Dr. Suresh Kumar Mehta, Head of the Psychiatry Department, both from Pacific Medical College and Hospital.

In his welcome speech, Director Vinod Kumar Singh Bhadoria extended a warm welcome to the guests by presenting a traditional “pag” and “uparna”. He emphasized that in today’s fast-paced world, stress has become a common issue affecting every second individual. The session was designed to help students understand the causes, consequences, and solutions to stress.

Both Dr. Mehta and Dr. Salvi provided engaging and insightful presentations. They highlighted how unchecked stress can lead to severe health conditions including headaches, diabetes, cancer, and insomnia. They suggested that stress can be significantly reduced through yoga, meditation, positive thinking, and open communication.

Practical Tips for Students

The speakers underlined that managing time effectively, completing tasks on schedule, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle are key factors in mitigating stress. They also encouraged students to foster a habit of positive thinking and interpersonal dialogue to develop resilience.

Dr. Mehta noted, “A disciplined routine combined with a mindful lifestyle is the foundation of stress-free living.” Dr. Salvi added that emotional awareness and self-care are crucial in preventing long-term psychological disorders.
